HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid

Do you require the knowledge and practical skills of first aid for your job or volunteer activities? This course will provide students with the current first aid procedures, in completing this course students will develop the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response.
Students will learn the necessary skills to respond to an emergency situation, apply the appropriate first aid procedures, ability to accurately communicate details of the incident and be able to evaluate the incident and own performance.
Study option – This course is a self paced study option with the learning and assessment materials provided for self-directed learning to be undertaken and submitted prior to the 1 day classroom based. (Please Note: All participants must complete theory booklet and return by 6th March in order to participate on the 9th March)
Assessment will take place a number of times throughout the course, assessment methods may include written assessment, oral questioning, workplace observation & demonstration of techniques in the workplace or simulated workplace.
